Access is through Hwy 50 and Hwy 80, making it in close proximity to the metropolitan city of Sacramento and the recreational activities of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

The Divide Chamber Of Commerce (DCOC) is made up of the following communities: Cool, Garden Valley, Georgetown, Greenwood, Kelsey, Pilot Hill, Coloma/ Lotus and upcountry communities including Volcanoville, Quintette and Chiquita.

These communities are a haven for those who enjoy boating, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and horseback riding, and they are well known for their fine wineries and specialty agriculture.

Here are just some of the events to watch including: The Founder's Day Celebration, Christmas in Cool, The Christmas Parade of Lights, and the annual Jeep Jamboree.
